The Cold Conveyor Belt Occlusion can be seen over the Atlantic Ocean at approximately 50N/35W. It consists of a spiral with lower (warmer) cloud tops protruding below the Cold Front - Warm Front system with higher (colder) cloud tops. In WV a dark stripe overruns the Cold Conveyor Belt Occlusion along the rear side of the Cold Front - Warm Front cloud band leading to lower tops in this area of the Cold Conveyor Belt Occlusion.
