Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS)

The high spatial resolution of the MODIS on NASA's Aqua satellite allows an easier detection of the fire smoke plume (Figure 8) although the low temporal sampling doesn’t allow following its life cycle.
