In the previous set of images we already could see that most of the convection was governed by high pressure and therefore anticyclonic flow in the warm sector. This is also seen by the wind vectors at 850 hPa.

Still anticyclonic flow as the convective development is about to start.

Over Germany and Austria the first cells emerge. Some confluent flow can be seen in the windvectors around these cells.
19th June 2006: 18UTC
The convective development has reached its climax. Over the Alps the outflow can be seen as some diverging movement is flanking the cells.
20th June 2006: 00UTC
Most of the cells have died out. The anticyclonic flow is still governing the weather over Central Europe.
