Most striking is the pronounced upper level trough behind the frontal system. The axis of this trough lies over the Atlantic. Central Europe is still under influence of a high pressure system and nice weather. Over Turkey and Greece a low pressure area is seen. Already an indication to the weather it is going to bring.

The gradient of the isohypsen in the upper level trough has increased over the past 6 hours. Over Turkey the first convection started. An upper level low is superimposed.

The upper level trough is the most remarkable feature. The trough axes has tilted somewhat over the past 6 hours. Still a high gradient and amplitude, indicative for further development. Over Greece and Turkey a pronounced upper level low is found, the position where also numerous convective cells are found. Over the Iberian Penisula an occlusion is about to form within the cloud band. A closed surface low can already be found.

The axis of the trough is found over Ireland and the westcoast of France. It is found closer in relation to the frontal system. Most convection is situated ahead of the frontal system. Over Spain a diffluent flow and a small ridge direct the level of convectivity. The situation over Turkey with a cyclonic flow and its low pressure system have remained unchanged.

Most convection is situated ahead of the frontal system. The influence of the high pressure system over Central Europe has further weakened. The situation over Turkey with a cyclonic flow and its low pressure system have remained unchanged. Embedded are several convective cells.
